We are seeking Medical Registrars including Basic Trainees to join our Medical Department here at Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital. The 2026 placements are 2 February and/or 3 August.
Our Department of Medicine is made up of 9 ward-based teams, including 28 Dual-Trained Internal Medicine Physicians, 24 Registrars, 15 House Officers, and support from Trainee Interns.
We offer a comprehensive training environment that enables trainees to complete all requirements of Basic Physician Training. Advanced Trainees are encouraged to apply for specialised positions in Renal, Respiratory, or Older Persons’ Health, which are advertised separately.
