Description The Medical Request Processor will perform assigned duties related to the medical records office. Primary focus in processing requests to obtain medical records and billing documentation, under the direction of the Akron Litigation Manager and Youngstown Office Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Process requests for medical records and billing within the expected time frame outlined by management Download and purchase electronic itemized billing statements and forward to appropriate paralegal Balance verifications Distribute and save medical records received electronically from providers to appropriate paralegal Communicate and correspond with paralegals regarding status and inquiries Regular, consistent, punctual attendance Provide general clerical support, as well as other duties as assigned Requirements Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in teams Excellent time-management, organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must possess high level of reading comprehension Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software Ability to maintain confidential information Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required Must type 45 wpm with accuracy Professional office setting experience preferred This position is Monday - Friday in office.
