Being based in the East of Germany (the region will support Sachsen, eastern part of Thüringen incl. Erfurt, southern part of Sachsen-Anhalt incl. Halle, Dessau and Brandenburg incl. Cottbus) and reporting to the Associate Director head of MSL, the Medical Science Liaison for Oncology is responsible for the implementation of the local affiliates’ Medical Plan and tactics that support the successful commercialization of in-market and future Jazz Pharma products.
This is a field-based, non-promotional role. The incumbent will be the medical and scientific expert for the therapy area. The main areas of responsibility include responding reactively to unsolicited requests for information from healthcare professionals, building collaborative relationships with opinion leaders and facilitating the exchange of unbiased scientific information between the medical community and the company through best in class medical education.
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring all activities are executed in accordance with regulatory and legal frameworks including but not limited to GCP, IFPMA and local regulations as well as Jazz Pharmaceuticals Policies and Healthcare compliance procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Recent experience in solid tumors (GI-tumors or HER2-area preferred)
• Highly self-motivated and ability to work autonomously
• Has a can-do attitude (Growth Mindset), feels accountable and acts proactively
• Enjoys setting ambitious goals, driving results and being innovative (in line with compliance rules)
• Communicate clearly, challenge constructively, and collaborate effectively across functions. Ability to critically analyse complex data
• Clear and concise communication and presentation skills
• Strong planning and organisation skills
• Excellent inter-personal and relationship building skills, collaboration, and teamwork

EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS

• Scientific Graduate in life sciences (Masters/Diploma or higher)
• Valid driver’s license
• Travel 70%-80%,
• Very good command of German and English language both spoken and written

• Responsibilities may require working outside of “normal” hours, to meet business demands.
• The size of territory will necessitate appropriate management of travel requirements
• It is preferred that the incumbent reside within the territory of their responsibility
