ACCOUNTABILITIES:

In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for medical and scientific inquiries related to our breast cancer products. You’ll engage with AstraZeneca teams, Key External Experts, Health Care Professionals, and Clinical Investigators to identify unmet medical needs and evidence gaps. Your expertise will drive the delivery of high-quality scientific content in alignment with global and local Medical Affairs plans. With responsibilities split between fieldwork and office-based tasks, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the future of breast cancer treatment.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum: Life Sciences Degree. MD, PharmD or PhD preferable
  • Strong understanding of the specific therapeutic area or ability to acquire this knowledge rapidly
  • Professional experience of working in the healthcare industry
  • High-level of scientific knowledge and ability to analyse and process clinical and scientific data
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including communicating complex technical, scientific, or medical information to various audiences
  • Excellent project management ability
  • Experience in liaising with healthcare professionals
  • Quick self-learner, ability and willingness to work in a team and independently
  • Driving license, and willingness to drive within Ireland

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry and execution of medical affairs plans, preferentially as MSL or within Medical Affairs in one of the therapeutic areas mentioned above.
  • Experience in engaging with health care regulatory authorities
  • Experience in pre-launch, peri-launch and post-launch phase of a product as part of its life cycle management
  • Knowledge of the local regulatory and market access requirements related to medical affairs activities
  • Knowledge of the legal and ethical framework and the procedural guidelines that apply to the promotion and approval of medicinal products in Ireland
