Job Description Job’s Mission To support key Medical Affairs activities through close collaboration with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and internal stakeholders, including Sales & Marketing, Clinical Development, Medical Information, Market Access, and other Medical Affairs functions. The role provides high-quality scientific and medical expertise to support field-based medical activities in alignment with the Medical Affairs strategy. For our team in France, we are looking for a Medical Science Liaison. What You Will Do Provide scientific and medical expertise to maximize physician awareness of Santen and collect relevant scientific and medical insights Support field-based medical activities involving KOLs in line with Medical Affairs objectives Attend local, national, and international congresses to engage opinion leaders and maintain in-depth knowledge of scientific and therapeutic advances Present data on existing products and new launches to healthcare professionals and internal colleagues upon request Contribute to the development of scientific and educational materials and support training and education programs for customers and internal teams Support local R&D and Medical Affairs studies, including clinical publications, research opportunities, protocol development, investigator-sponsored trials (ISTs), and local studies Develop and maintain relationships with patient associations and identify potential collaboration opportunities Support market access activities, pharmacovigilance activities, and medical information as required Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with local SOPs, French deontological rules for MSLs issued by LEEM, and with strict separation between medical and promotional activities and the Sales Force Qualifications What You Will Bring to the Role A university degree in Life Sciences (MD, Pharmacist, Biologist, or equivalent) and fluency in English and French At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Science Liaison in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Experience in ophthalmology is a plus Strong ability to learn, interpret, and communicate clinical, scientific, and medical information, with excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills and solid business acumen A collaborative, hands-on mindset with the ability to build cross-functional relationships in a pan-European and international environment, influence key stakeholders, and work independently with creativity and innovation Strong prioritization and time-management skills, with willingness to travel extensively (up to 70% nationally, with occasional EU and international travel) Additional Information Grow your career at Santen A career at Santen is an opportunity to make a difference.
