Medical Scientific Liaison (all genders) Oncology Hesse As part of our Medical Affairs Oncology team, you shape scientific exchange in the Southwest region (Freiburg, Stuttgart, Mannheim, Heidelberg). In this strategic field‑based role, you act as a scientific expert, build trusted relationships with Thought Leaders, and drive medical excellence across your territory. Therapeutic Area: Oncology (with a specific focus on Uro‑Oncology) Region: Hesse Karriere im Außendienst | Gesundheit Bayer YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES You are responsible for engaging proactively and reactively with Thought Leaders, providing clear scientific communication on study data, publications, and medical insights You ensure that on‑label information is shared proactively and off‑label requests are addressed reactively in full compliance with local regulations You collaborate with medical societies, respond to scientific inquiries, and support the preparation and execution of advisory boards You are responsible for attending regional and national congresses, engaging with TLs, expanding your network, and gathering competitive intelligence Ensuring the delivery of scientific education is also your responsibility, including the planning and execution of medical training sessions and educational events You ensure that all field activities, insights, and interactions are accurately documented and reported in a timely manner You are responsible for collecting unsolicited Investigator‑Initiated Research (IIR) ideas and serving as a key point of contact for investigators throughout the evaluation and study lifecycle You identify, map, and segment Thought Leaders in your region and contribute to strategic engagement planning within cross‑functional teams WHO YOU ARE You hold a degree in a scientific field; an MD, PharmD, or PhD is preferred You bring experience in a medical or scientific environment; previous MSL experience is beneficial You are skilled in interpreting and communicating complex scientific and clinical information You present scientific content clearly, credibly, and tailored to different audiences You are proficient in MS Office and work independently, structured, and result‑oriented Soft skills such as collaboration, integrity, and strong stakeholder management describe you well You demonstrate a high willingness to travel (approximately 75%, including overnight stays) and manage your territory effectively Fluent German and English (written and spoken) rounds off your profile This position is to be filled at Bayer Vital GmbH.
