We are looking for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) (m/f/d) Dermatology who is agile with a drive to build strong lasting relationships and who has an enthusiastic innovative mindset to come join our Patient Impact department, to be based in Germany. This will be a fixed term contract until March 2027.

INTERESTED? FOR THIS POSITION YOU’LL NEED THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • MSc. within the field of Immunology/Life Sciences, PhD in immunology is a big plus
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Work experience as MSL mandatory
  • Launch experience and experience in dermatology are a huge advantage
  • Proven track-record having worked with biologics
  • Business acumen with a good understanding and holistic view on the healthcare ecosystem
  • Great project management skills

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The MSL role is a field-based scientific expert within the Immunology team focusing on dermatology with you as the leading local scientific expert for UCB in the therapeutic area. The position requires in-depth knowledge to be an expert in the field. The MSL role includes scientific discussions, presentations, and responses to unsolicited questions. Core content of these discussions will be topics of unmet medical needs which are of scientific / developmental importance to UCB in immunology. You are also involved in feasibility processes around new clinical studies and are the primary contact person for investigators interested in investigator-initiated research, donations, grants as well as for developing and executing the medical content of the local ecosystem plan. In addition, you will build local medical plans, conduct advisory boards, and arrange scientific symposiums.

WHAT YOU´LL DO:

  • Agile and proactive identification and management of key scientific and medical influencers based on local ecosystem dynamics.
  • Exploration and identification of new sources of patient value (innovative solutions and services) by placing the holistic disease burden of people suffering from chronic immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) high on health care´s agenda.
  • Manage and generate product/ disease state data (Phase III/IV, IIS, audits, RWE etc.)
  • Partner with key clinical KOLs, payers, patient organizations and patients to advance medical initiatives, in defined clinical practice areas, to drive optimal patient care.
  • Shares insights, innovation, opportunities and patient needs internally to the patient-value units.
  • Drive development of real-world evidence in the local ecosystem and leverage the value of UCB solutions for patients to medical and payer communities.
