Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Come join us in our expanding Eastern Health Pathology service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Medical Scientist with Majors in either Haematology and/or Transfusion Laboratory Medicine to join our team.
The successful candidate will be working in Haematology; including Morphology and Coagulation, along with Blood Bank. This role involves a 24/7 rotating roster, including participation in the on-call roster.
You will mainly be based at Box Hill Hospital, however, you may be expected to work an odd shift at our other campuses based at Maroondah or Angliss Hospital.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
- Majors in Haematology and/or Transfusion Laboratory Medicine would be highly regarded
- Highly developed interpersonal skill
- Attention to detail
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- Has the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skill
