About the role
Join our Microbiology team as a Medical Scientist (MeS-1) and begin an exciting career journey in a dynamic diagnostic laboratory environment. This role provides the opportunity to apply your scientific knowledge and technical skills while contributing to the delivery of accurate, reliable and high-quality pathology services that support patient care. Under appropriate guidance and supervision, you will perform a range of routine microbiology diagnostic techniques, participate in the testing process from planning through to reporting, and develop your expertise in laboratory practices, quality processes and scientific methodologies.
As an important member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work alongside experienced scientists, technical staff and medical professionals to support the delivery of exceptional laboratory services. You will have opportunities to build your professional capability through competency-based training, contribute to teaching and research activities, and assist with the development and implementation of new techniques and approaches. This role offers a supportive environment where you can grow your skills, strengthen your professional judgement and progress your career within medical science.
