Description Medical Scribe - Part Time TOWSON, MD Description At Clinical Associates, we make being healthy easier. We connect our patients to a seamless system of integrated medical care, which includes in-house specialists in areas of practice, from cardiology to podiatry. We do our best to take care of everything for our patients – records, scheduling appointments, coordinating with providers and specialists, and each of our offices has laboratory centers for tests and blood work on site. We are seeking an experienced Medical Scribe to join our team working part time with one Family Medicine physician at our Towson location. The primary goal of a Medical Scribe is to increase the efficiency and the productivity of the physician. The Medical Scribe allows the physician to focus on the patient. Location: 515 Fairmount Avenue, Towson, MD 21286 SCHEDULE: Mondays and Fridays 9:00 am -5:00 pm; Thursdays 9:00am - 1:30pm (* May require flexibility to work until 3:30pm) WHAT YOU WILL DO: Accurately and thoroughly documents medical visits and procedures in the Electronic Health Record as they are being performed by the physician. Prepare documentation of physician-dictated diagnoses, prescriptions, and instructions for patient or family members for self-care and follow-up. Comply with specific standards that apply to the style of medical records and to the legal and ethical requirements for preparing medical documents and for keeping patient information confidential. Ensure that all clinical data, lab or other test results, the interpretation of the results by the physician are recorded accurately in the medical record. Proofread and edit all the physician’s medical documents for accuracy, spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Some college / Course work in Sciences or Pre-med track preferred. Previous experience as a Medical Scribe or medical transcription.(Required) Excellent understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments to the extent required to understand and accurately transcribe dictated reports. Translate medical abbreviations into their expanded forms. Familiarity with medical terminology Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
