This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with proven Medical Secretarial skills to join our well established, friendly Cellular Pathology reporting team.
To provide administrative support in all pathology reporting processes.
We are looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to work in our Cellular Pathology Department based at Royal Free Hospital.
You will provide strong medical secretarial/administrative support and therefore candidates must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently and have a strong background in diagnostic reporting and administration within the NHS/Private clinical environment. You should also be able to work accurately and methodically and be able to work under pressure whilst maintaining composure.
This role will help you cement and progress your existing experience working within the healthcare sector. You will provide a high quality, proactive and effective secretarial/administrative service to the consultants and registrars within the diagnostic team under the supervision of the Office Manager. You will be asked to undertake a range of administrative and secretarial duties, such as transcribing of dictation, report typing and telephone queries. This role requires strict attention to detail and the ability to prioritise your workload and use your own initiative under the managers guidance. Your work must be of a high standard and you must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and be familiar with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, able to multitask and is keen to learn.
