Description

We are recruiting for a part-time/flexible hours position and are looking for the right candidate to join our team. The ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills and a strong background in medical administration or medical secretarial work, or a recently completed qualification in medical secretary/receptionist. Experience in a busy office or clinical environment will also be considered.

Duties will include:

  • Answering telephone calls and email queries
  • Triaging (according to degree of urgency) and scheduling patient appointments
  • Greeting, checking in patients and managing the waiting area
  • Managing email communication and patient requests with discretion and sensitivity
  • Managing confidential patient information
  • Communication with hospitals and consultants
  • Billing patients
  • General office duties such as filing, scanning

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and telephone skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Ability to take direction and work well as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Flexibility to cover additional hours such as annual/sick leave cover

Experience:

  • At least 2 years medical secretary/receptionist experience in GP practice or similar is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using Socrates practice management software is desirable but not essential.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From €15.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
