Manager of Medical Staff Services    Department: Medical Staff Office (MSO)  Employment Type: On-site, Full-time, Exempt   Position Overview  The Manager of Medical Staff Services (MMSS) is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and overseeing all operations of the Medical Staff Office at Moab Regional Hospital, a critical access hospital dedicated to high-quality, patient-centered care. This position ensures that credentialing, privileging, and medical staff governance activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.  Working collaboratively with the CMO, medical staff leadership, and hospital administration, the Manager plays a key role in supporting medical staff functions, maintaining regulatory readiness, and fostering a responsive, service-oriented approach to provider support.    Key Responsibilities  * Credentialing and Privileging Management:  * Manage and maintain complete credentialing and privileging files for all medical staff and allied health professionals. Ensure all verifications, references, and supporting documentation to meet accreditation and regulatory requirements. * Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Lead provider and APP outreach and recruitment for the medical staff as well as assist in interviewing, meet-and-greet moments, and coordination of on-site interviews for potential applicants to Moab Regional Hospital.   * Medical Staff Governance Support:  Provide administrative support to Medical Staff Committees, including preparation of meeting materials, agendas, and minutes. Coordinate the flow of information between committees, departments, and the governing body.  * Regulatory and Accreditation Compliance:  Maintain policies, procedures, and files in line with CMS Conditions of Participation, Joint Commission standards, and state regulations. Prepare for and participate in surveys, audits, and inspections. * Process Improvement and Efficiency: Evaluate and enhance workflows related to provider onboarding, credentialing timeliness, and communications. Recommend process updates to ensure high accuracy and efficiency.  * Database Administration: Oversee and maintain the credentialing database or software system. Ensure data integrity, security, and timely updates. Generate reports for medical staff committees and leadership as needed.  * Collaboration and Communication: Partner with Human Resources, Quality/Compliance, and department directors to coordinate provider onboarding, orientation, and ongoing competence assessments. Serve as the primary contact for providers regarding credentialing and governance matters.  * Education and Support: Monitor and maintain the annual schedule of all student rotations, affiliations, and approvals with onboarding checklists for Moab Regional Hospital.  Qualifications  Education: bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred;     Why Should You Join the Team at Moab Regional Hospital?
