We have an immediate need for a full-time Medical Necessity Writer Specialist to join our Care Team.
You’ll be working with medical documentation preparation, which involves gathering patient records and evaluating them for program qualifications. There is also patient interaction to document history and status, establishing direction for the Care Team. Their relentless pursuit of success and commitment to patient advocacy define their role.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent reading, writing, and computer skills.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, preferably in coordinating and managing patient documentation
  • Medical writing, medical terminology, or in a healthcare administration role.
  • Familiarity with healthcare programs and benefits, particularly the Department of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) program, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software is required.
Responsibilities
  • Create medical documentation with accuracy and a focus on fostering positive relationships with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
  • Efficiently manage a high volume of claims weekly.
  • Provide continuous support by reviewing patient records and identifying additional health issues to maximize benefits.
  • Maintain high standards to build and sustain patient trust.
  • Communicate to ensure that patient expectations are aligned with what is realistically achievable.
  • Apply technical skills to secure prompt and successful claim approvals.
  • Foster patient satisfaction and engagement through effective communication and consistent support.
