Salary: Commensurate with experience
Reports To: Clinic Manager / Physician
We are looking for skilled technicians who are able to assist in FUE and DHI methods for a new and luxury hair transplant clinic in Toronto. We are looking for either freelance staff and/or full time. There is also an opportunity for some of the potential candidates to become a patient liaison manager.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Medical Assistant will support physicians and other healthcare professionals with clinical, procedure, and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient flow and exceptional care. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of medical office procedures in Ontario.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Medical Office Assistant (MOA) diploma or equivalent certification from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical or medical office setting (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Ontario’s healthcare system and OHIP billing procedures
  • Proficient with EMR systems; experience with JANE and/or OSCAR is an asset
  • CPR and First Aid certification (current)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient confidentiality

Responsibilities

CLINICAL DUTIES:

  • Prepare examination rooms and assist during patient examinations and procedures
  • Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.)
  • Collect specimens for lab testing and perform basic lab procedures
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician
  • Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of medical instruments and equipment
  • Update patient medical records accurately in EMR systems (e.g. JANE, OSCAR)

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:

  • Greet and check in patients; verify and update patient information
  • Schedule appointments and manage calendars for healthcare providers
  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and relay messages promptly
  • Process billing, OHIP claims, and insurance paperwork
  • Maintain inventory and order medical and office supplies as needed
  • Assist with referrals and follow-ups
