FACTS ABOUT NORTH CENTRAL: Opened in 2005, 14 Operating Rooms and 30 Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms. We are conveniently located at Walnut Hill & 75 in the prestigious NorthPark area Specialties include: Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, and Podiatry surgeries. Managed by United Surgical Partners International & Joint Commission Accredited.

We are currently seeking a Lab Tech to work Monday - Friday 10a - 6:30p and rotating weekends.

  • Phlebotomy duties.
  • Routine laboratory procedures related to preparing human biological samples for microbiological, hematological, and chemical analysis.
  • Performs routine and stat laboratory testing, including (but not necessarily limited to) CBC, BMP, CMP, PT, PTT, UA, PFA, rapid flu, rapid strep, occult blood, hCG, and hemoglobin A1c testing.
  • Scanning of documents into patients’ charts in Cerner.
  • Other duties as needed by laboratory director or supervisor.

Required Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree or higher in medical laboratory technology; or bachelor’s in medical technology, clinical lab science or related science
  • ASCP or AMT registration as an MT/MLT/CLS preferred
  • At least one year experience in Laboratory setting
  • Phlebotomy certification or eligible preferred.
  • Knowledge of governmental and regulating policies/standards.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to detect color and color changes.
  • BLS by AHA or obtain within 30 days from hire date
