Description The Medical Technologist will: Utilize their skill of performing complex and specialized tests. Utilize their understanding of quality assurance to monitor quality control programs. Promote cost effective testing practices. Exercise initiative dealing with the broad scope of procedure and technical problems. Communicate pertinent technical information to medical, paramedical or lay individuals. Demonstrate commitment to patient care and professionalism. Accept responsibility for practicing safe laboratory techniques. Requirements Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology (MT) or Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) or Life Sciences. General lab experience. American Society for Clinical Pathology(ASCP) Certification, American Medical Technologists (AMT) Certification, or any certification through any organization approved by HHS. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong critical thinking skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Salary Range: The base rate for this position is $33.00 - $38.82 per hour. The hourly range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The rate for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
