Description Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Medical Technologist Lead for a permanent opportunity in Bradenton, Florida. This role provides advanced clinical laboratory support while serving as a lead technologist during assigned evening or night shifts. The Medical Technologist Lead performs complex testing, ensures regulatory compliance, and acts as the primary laboratory point of contact for trauma services during their shift. Key Responsibilities • Perform stat and routine clinical laboratory testing within licensed technical disciplines. • Ensure all testing is conducted in accordance with written procedures and regulatory requirements. • Apply theoretical concepts of laboratory medicine using independent judgment to ensure accurate and timely results. • Maintain competency and regulatory scheduling in Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology sections. • Perform non-technical duties such as specimen collection, processing, and referral testing as required. • Serve as the primary laboratory contact for the facility trauma team during assigned shifts. • Support laboratory workflow, quality standards, and patient safety initiatives. Compensation Hourly Pay Range (Based on Experience) • $32.62/hour (minimum) • $48.93/hour (maximum) Requirements • Active State of Florida Medical Technologist license for the position being applied for. • Associate Degree in Science required; Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology preferred. • ASCP certification required. • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a clinical medical laboratory. • Experience across multiple laboratory disciplines, including Blood Bank/Immunohematology, Chemistry, and Hematology. • Ability to function independently and serve as a lead technologist during assigned shifts. • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
