How you’ll contribute A Medical Technologist who excels in this role: * Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring disease states. * Reports to the Director of Laboratory Services. * Essential Functions Additional Information * Patient Populations Served: Does not directly treat or care for patients. * Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record. * Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present. * Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting, computer/data entry, and equipment handling; occasional standing, walking, and light lifting. * Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex. What we’re looking for * Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree * Medical Technologist licensure through ASCP or AMT preferred (licensure must reflect education requirements). * Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
