Here’s what you’ll do:

  • As a Co-op Student in the Medical Technology department will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects and support teams that are shaping the future of healthcare. This 12 month role is ideal for students passionate about technology, healthcare, and customer-centric solutions. It will include rotation with the following key departments at Zeiss
  • Customer Repair Centre
  • First level customer support line
  • Digital Support Team
  • Field Service
  • Business Operations
  • Clinical Applications Specialist team (customer training)
  • Assist the Technical Support team in troubleshooting and resolving customer issues related to ZEISS medical devices and software solutions.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, including user manuals, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and address recurring technical challenges.
  • Participate in testing and validation of new software updates or hardware configurations.
  • Abide by provincial and federal employment laws.
  • Work closely with the Digital Sales Support team to enhance customer engagement through digital platforms.
  • Assist in managing and updating digital tools, such as CRM systems, e-commerce platforms, and sales enablement software.
  • Support the creation of digital marketing materials, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Analyze customer data to identify trends and provide insights to the sales team for targeted outreach.
  • Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project planning activities.
  • Provide administrative support for ongoing projects, including data entry, reporting, and documentation.
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and external customers to ensure seamless communication and support.

Do you qualify?

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Biomedical Engineering, Health Sciences, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in medical technology and healthcare innovation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with CRM tools is an asset.
  • Basic understanding of digital platforms and tools (e.g., Salesforce, CRM or similar).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Previous experience in technical support, sales, or customer service is an asset.
  • Familiarity with medical devices or healthcare systems is an asset.

Working Conditions and Special Demands:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • At times the company may move employees to different locations as requirements change.
