This is a remote position. Virtual Rockstar is hiring a Medical Virtual Assistant on behalf of a busy specialty medical practice to support front desk operations, primarily by handling high-volume incoming phone calls and assisting with patient scheduling. This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service skills, EHR experience, and the ability to think critically and problem-solve independently. This position plays a key role in giving the in-person team breathing room by serving as the first point of contact for many incoming calls. Their culture emphasizes: Patient-centered service Team collaboration Professionalism and accountability Supporting staff in delivering excellent care Key Responsibilities Front Desk & Phone Support Answer high-volume incoming phone calls as the first point of contact Assist patients with scheduling appointments Confirm and cancel appointments as requested Respond to patient inquiries professionally and clearly Ensure calls are handled efficiently and routed appropriately when needed Patient Scheduling & Records Manage appointment calendars Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality Assist with basic administrative coordination Note: The goal is for incoming calls to ring to the Virtual Assistant first, with overflow directed to the in-person team if needed.
