Virtual Rockstar is hiring a Medical Virtual Assistant on behalf of a therapy practice to support patient scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and front-office coordination. Key Responsibilities Patient Scheduling & Front Desk Support Schedule new patient evaluations and follow-up appointments Manage appointment calendars and confirm upcoming visits Handle patient inquiries via phone and email as needed Coordinate schedules with clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations Insurance Verification & Authorizations Complete insurance eligibility checks and benefit verification Obtain and track prior authorizations Update patient insurance information accurately in the EMR Explain insurance benefits and coverage details when needed Liaise with insurance providers to clarify coverage and authorization requirements Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of authorization status Administrative & Team Support Answer phone calls related to scheduling and insurance inquiries Maintain patient records with attention to accuracy and confidentiality Support clinic operations to help increase overall patient volume Work collaboratively with the team and demonstrate strong team-player qualities Tools You’ll Use WebPT Tebra Requirements Experience with patient scheduling, insurance verification, and prior authorizations Comfortable answering phone calls in a professional healthcare setting Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Organized, reliable, and able to manage daily administrative tasks Clear written and verbal communication skills Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude Reliable internet connection and comfort working remotely Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience Opportunities for professional development and growth Work in a supportive and collaborative team environment Make a meaningful impact by helping patients receive high-quality care
