Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

· Receive, process and coordinate Resident Doctors rotation, in line with Code of Practice and trust policies and procedures, working with Recruitment and Transactional HR to ensure changes are reflected in the system and contracts are updated.
· Working with Health Education Wessex to ensure that the information received is up to date and accurate, checking against Trainee Information System (TIS). Highlighting issues or concerns to the relevant colleague at the Deanery.
· Build and issue Resident Doctors out of hours rosters, in line with Terms and Conditions of Service Resident Doctors Contract 2016 and Code of Practice and consulting with the Guardian of Safe working and relevant Clinical/Medical directors where necessary.
· Manage Resident Doctors rosters via the Healthroster platform, uploading trainee details and their rosters to the system. Approving and Finalising rosters. Coordinating annual leave, swaps. Responsible for sourcing additional cover for shifts in agreement with the Clinical/Medical Directors and attaching payment when needed.
· Liaising with other trusts in relation to Resident Doctors, ensuring information is shared in relation to sickness absence and rotations.
· Communicating with Doctors regularly, before and during rotations. Identifying needs and requirements during their placements. While on placement ensuring they are supported and able to carry out their duties including weekend working.
· Act as key point of contact for Resident Doctors, Medical Education, Supervisors, Clinical and Medical Directors, Divisional Directors of Medical Education and Director of Education in relation to Resident Doctors rotation and exception reporting.
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
