Description Hilton East Assisted Living currently has one Full-time openings for a Medication Aide at our facility located in Hilton, NY. SHIFT DETAILS: Full-Time: Sunday and Monday Double Shifts 6am-10pm plus an additional Baylor (8 hours pay) when you work the full 2 double shifts MEDICATION AIDE ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Works under the supervision of the Compliance Officer and or the Nurse on Duty, in accordance with the New York State Department of Health regulations. Provides clients with assistance with ADL’s and housekeeping tasks as dictated on the PCA activity sheet. Able to follow the Nursing Care Plan to complete the daily activities of the client, as well as completion of the aide activity sheet. Utilize mandated checklists Complete all documentation in a neat and timely manner. Ability to ask questions when unsure, without being prompted. Observe the client and report changes appropriately to the RN. Attend required in-service training and HHA meetings. Exhibits necessary interpersonal skills to work well with clients and families. Maintain a clean med room, medication cart and all storage containers. Requirements High School Graduate or GED equivalent Must be 18 years of age Motivation and ability to work independently Demonstrates dependability Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Able to maintain confidentiality at all times Ability to follow simple yet detailed procedures Able to utilize time efficiently
Responsibilities
The Medication Aide works under supervision to assist clients with activities of daily living and housekeeping tasks. They are responsible for following care plans, completing documentation, and reporting changes in client conditions.
