How you make a difference:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) provides a full range of medical services to patients under the supervision of the Site Medical Director and other site Physicians, adhering to established policies and state guidelines. They ensure proper documentation of services to the Site Medical Director or designee for monitoring clinical services and notify relevant directors of any schedule changes. Additionally, they assist in arranging coverage for medical services during extended absences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to assigned facility on time to examine referred patients, maintaining professional standards and adherence to clinic policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation agency standards.
  • Provide support and training to medical staff, attend case conferences, staff meetings, and training sessions, and ensure SOAP format documentation that is problem-oriented, dated, timed, and legible.
  • Follow the established formulary for therapeutic regimens, respond appropriately to codes and health emergencies, prepare reports, review records, and utilize in-house resources before off-site referrals.
  • Perform medical histories and physical exams, determine diagnoses of opioid dependence, review treatment plans, assess coexisting medical and psychiatric disorders, and make appropriate referrals.
  • Assume responsibility for individual judgments and actions, apply Universal or Standard Precautions, maintain patient confidentiality, prescribe appropriate care regimens, and participate in facility committees as requested.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or an accredited education program for Physician Assistant
  • Advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

Experience

  • 2 years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • MAT/MOUD experience

Licenses/Certifications

  • Must have and maintain current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant within the state of employment
  • Must have and maintain current CPR certification
