Description Key Recovery provides comprehensive substance use disorder treatment and work skills training to help low-income, high-risk patients achieve sustained recovery and rebuild their lives. The Medication Coordinator will assist patients throughout their time in our treatment program, including providing support during the initial admission and thoroughly preparing patients for discharge from Key Recovery. The medication liaison is an integral part of our clinical team by supporting the counselors in providing a trauma informed care environment and supporting the patients in their recovery journey. The medication liaison will help patients coordinate medical care, with medical prescribers, and monitor patients self-administer their medications. While preparing for discharge, the medication liaison will assist the patients to coordinate aftercare appointments with medical providers and pharmacy upon discharge. Schedule Shift: TBD Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a variety of records, organize data, and prepare reports. Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally. Establish and maintain effective work relationships and maintain strong boundaries with clients. Ability to prepare, develop, and provide training to other staff members concerning medication and other similar type training; facilitate a group training such as new hire on-boarding. Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA, 42 CFR and 45 CFR. Requirements Education/Experience Requirements: Must have a Medical Assistant Certification LPN license preferred AA Degree in chemical dependency studies preferred Experience with monitoring self-administered medications or similar activities Experience working with patients with SUD and co-occurring disabilities Requires a valid Washington state driver’s license Computer and EHR literate Must be CPR certified or have the ability to receive CPR certification within the first 90 days of employment No history of misuse of alcohol or other drugs for a minimum of one year prior to employment with Key Recovery Center. Ability to hear and speak conversationally, fluent in English occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Must be able to climb stairs without an elevator.
