TRYON STREET - CHARLOTTE, NC 28206 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 Salary/year Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services JOB SUMMARY Supervise and evaluate the Medication Administration process at Hope Haven, in collaboration with the Nurse Practitioner (NP), to ensure seamless coordination and the delivery of high-quality services. Ensure strict adherence to State and Federal regulations governing medication administration ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Respond effectively to resident medication needs and emergencies during assigned shifts, ensuring timely intervention and care. Maintain and update Medication Administration Records (MAR) for all residents, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Conduct weekly audits and comprehensive documentation of residents' medication needs, progress, and any significant concerns regarding medication and medical appointments. Assist in audit processes to ensure compliance with internal policies, as well as State and Federal regulations about medication administration. Complete incident reports for any medication administration-related issues, addressing and documenting any concerns, actions taken, and outcomes. Coordinate and schedule medical appointments for residents with the Nurse Practitioner (NP), ensuring efficient access to care. Monitor and document resident adherence to medication administration schedules, promptly notifying clinical staff of any non-compliance. Observe medication administration as necessary, ensuring proper documentation is maintained throughout the assigned shift. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management or requested by supervisors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities. Consistently uphold the Hope Haven Code of Ethics and Client Rights, demonstrating professionalism and commitment to resident care. Maintain compliance with agency policies, procedures, and standards, upholding organizational values and regulatory requirements Other duties as assigned; not limited to these. Qualifications POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED with at least three years of experience in a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with a Medication Administration Certification. Certification Requirement: Must possess a Medication Administration Certification or be willing to obtain certification within 90 days of employment. Emotional and Behavioral Competency: Demonstrated emotional stability and maturity to engage effectively with a diverse, underserved population. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Community Resource Knowledge: Familiarity with community resources relevant to healthcare and related issues. Driver’s License & Insurance: Must possess a valid North Carolina driver’s license and be insurable under Hope Haven’s insurance policy. CPR and First Aid: Current certification in CPR and First Aid. Must know confidentiality laws so that client confidentiality is always maintained Adhere to all HIPPA and confidentiality rules and guidelines. Cause no harm to self and others on-site or off-site (including physical or psychological). Must have a valid driver's license and be insured by Hope Haven’s carrier. Flexibility in assigned duties.
