This role is responsible for overseeing medication management, supporting client wellbeing, ensuring documentation accuracy, and collaborating with clinical and medical staff to provide high-quality care. Key Responsibilities Oversee and document client self-administration of medications with accuracy and compliance. Monitor and report resident reactions, status changes, and unexpected responses to the clinical team. Coordinate medication services, prescription refills, and requisitions with pharmacies and medical providers. Perform daily narcotic and medication counts, maintain accurate inventory, and report discrepancies immediately. Conduct routine chart audits to ensure medication documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant. Ensure all medications are accurately entered and updated in the EMR system. Assist clients with daily medication routines in accordance with facility protocols and safety standards. Conduct drug testing following Waived Testing procedures. Maintain organized and compliant medication records and logs. Communicate effectively with clinical, medical, and administrative staff regarding medication updates or concerns. Protect client safety, dignity, and confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA and organizational policies. Participate in emergency responses, drills, and safety protocols. Assist with client transportation, when approved to operate company vehicles. Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CARF). Perform additional administrative or medication-related duties to support overall program operations. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant coursework or a degree in medical, behavioral health, or substance use fields is a plus CPR/First-Aid/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) Experience with medication handling, coordination, or healthcare settings; experience in substance use or mental health treatment preferred Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and strong general computer skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Strong communication, organization, accuracy, and time-management skills Ability to work independently, multitask, and collaborate effectively with teams Compassion, professionalism, appropriate boundaries, and an understanding of recovery/detox processes CMT or equivalent medication certification preferred; familiarity with licensing/accreditation standards (Joint Commission, CARF) is a plus Skills & Abilities Ability to accurately observe, handle, and document medication activities Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking Compassion, empathy, professionalism, and appropriate boundaries with clients Ability to monitor client wellbeing and respond appropriately Team-oriented with a positive and adaptable approach Understanding of detoxification and recovery processes If you're ready to contribute to a mission-driven organization and be a catalyst for positive change, we'd love to hear from you!
