PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/CREDENTIALS

• 5+ years of outpatient pharmacy or managed care
• Customer service oriented; excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Highly motivated individual who is self-directed, adaptable and able to execute tasks in a quickly changing environment
• Strong knowledge of prior authorization, step therapy, and benefit coverage processes
• Familiarity with anti-obesity medications and payer coverage requirements
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize essential tasks and meet deadlines
• Requires knowledge of prescription assistance programs and available resources to reduce cost of medications

MEDICATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST- WELLNESS PROGRAMS (HYBRID ROLE)

Novant Health is seeking a Medication Management Specialist, to join our ambulatory pharmacy team, to deliver optimal medication management across all dimensions of care, every time. This role will have a dual focus: (1) serving as a dedicated resource for Anti-Obesity Medication (AOM) management and (2) providing clinical and operational support for our Healthy Lifestyles Program.

Responsibilities:

• Addresses insurance, reimbursement, and payment issues as appropriate by communicating with insurance providers, patients, and pharmacists.
• Obtain medication histories, including fill history, for medically complex patients
