Position Summary: Medication Techs/Med Techs primarily focus on medication administration and related duties/tasks under the supervision of a nurse and the RN Delegator, following the guidelines provided by Senior Solutions Management Group and State Regulations. This position reports to the Wellness Director. Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Flexible spending account * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Essential Functions: * Responsible for supervision of self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with Federal & State regulations and SSMG guidelines as directed by the Wellness Director. * Preparing medications, ensuring proper dosages and administration times, documenting medication given, and monitoring patients for reactions. * Assist with other patient care tasks and maintain medication inventory.  * Reports any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation to the Wellness Director. * Responds quickly to all emergencies. * Maintains close communication with all departments and staff members. * Provides educational meetings for residents and staff as requested by Supervisor. * Understands role in the Safety & Disaster Plan. * Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information. * Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings. * Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. * Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and co-workers. * Adheres to all policies and procedures of SSMG. * Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements: *  A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months * related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Home Health Aid, Personal Care Aid, Private Caregiver * Must be trainable and available for onsite training, medication training by RN Delegator * Must be flexible with scheduling and have transportation to and from work for scheduled shifts * Position also requires resident care when not assisting with medication administration
