No experience necessary. Location: Mora, MN Job Type: Part-Time (6:00 am - 2:30 pm) Pay: $18.00 - $24.19 per hour; based on experience (with additional evening, overnight, and weekend shift differentials!) Schedule: Every other Saturday and Sunday Position Summary: As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role involves administering medication and supporting our nursing staff in providing excellent health care services under professional supervision and actively participate in the health monitoring of our clients. Primary Responsibilities: Administer scheduled and PRN medication under the direction of Registered and Licensed nursing staff. Provide legible, written documentation of client participation and progress in the client record as needed. Timely report any unsafe conditions to the appropriate nursing staff and/or Medical Director. Provide support to nursing staff regarding client's health related needs. Record client's health status to include vital signs, intake and output, and other necessary observations. Communicate recordings to appropriate nursing staff. Requirements Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Ability to utilize and navigate computers, laptops, and/or tablets, to complete daily documentation or communication through email, an Electronic Medical Records System, or other company used programs. Current American Heart Association BLS Card, training offered onsite. Must be at least 18 years of age per licensure. Physical Requirements: Constantly operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, etc. Frequently lift equipment and supplies up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height throughout the day. Frequently read and update medical records, prescriptions and medication bottles, medical orders, etc. Frequently communicate with employees, parents, clients and other individuals with key relationships. This requires receiving and providing accurate information in writing or verbally, in these situations. Frequently move around the office to access file cabinets, office machinery and supplies, etc.
Responsibilities
The Medication Technician will administer scheduled and PRN medication under nursing staff direction, actively participate in client health monitoring, and provide support to nursing staff regarding client health needs. Key duties include recording vital signs and other necessary observations and ensuring timely reporting of unsafe conditions.
