What You'll Do as Medication Technician: Administer medications accurately and in compliance with state regulations and community policies Ensure care and services are provided in a safe, secure, and respectful environment for all residents Verify weekly that self-administering residents are taking medications correctly and as prescribed Review medication error reports, document appropriately, and obtain required staff signatures Perform monthly audits of medication administration records and confirm resident understanding of self-medication when applicable Follow individualized care or service plans to support each resident’s health and wellness Report discrepancies or concerns in care plans to the charge nurse or supervisor promptly Provide basic assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, mobility, and meals Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with community procedures and state/federal regulations Promote a positive, home-like environment by treating residents with dignity, kindness, and respect What We're Looking For: High school diploma or GED Some experience as a Medication technician Intermediate computer skills What We Prefer: CPR certification One year experience working as a Med Tech, Nursing Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant in a long-term care setting Medication Administration Training is preferred.
