We currently have a secure casual position available for a Medium Rigid (MR) Driver - based out of our Mordialloc Food Service distribution facility in Melbourne. 

We are looking for a professional, experienced MR Driver with a good driving record to perform multi-drop deliveries of milk, dairy and food service products to Cafe's, Restaurants, Clubs and our industrial customers. The successful applicants will be rostered for up to 5 shifts per week, Monday through Friday, 6:30pm to 2:30am.

This is a secure position working with an experienced and friendly team in a busy and dynamic Food Service environment, with an opportunity to progress to full time employment. With our strong customer service focus, overtime opportunities are regularly available. 

Key Requirements/Skills

• Must have a valid heavy vehicle licence (MR or higher);
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions closely;
• Be highly focused on safety, quality, hygiene, delivery and efficiency;
• Good customer service and effective communication skills;
• Trouble shooting skills and ability to use initiative;
• Sound understanding of COR (Transport Chain of Responsibility);
• Flexibility to work shift work, including some occasional weekend work;
• Ability to work overtime; 
• Ability to work unsupervised, and also as part of a team; and
• Physical capability to undertake multiple drop deliveries. 

Responsibilities are varied and include:

• Detailed inventory control;
• Picking orders during the delivery route;
• Chain of Responsibility and Load restraint;
• Quality, safety and hygiene control;
• Meeting delivery targets;
• Manual handling/ trolleying of product; and 
• Monitoring and reducing waste.
