We are currently hiring a Meeting Facilitator for a new role in Multnomah County. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized and schedule-centric, technically skilled, and possess very strong communication skills with the confidence to organize and facilitate difficult discussions .
This position requires high fluency in English and Spanish.

POSITION SUMMARY

Coordinate, plan and facilitate meetings for parents involved with ODHS Child Welfare to bring together all parties involved with a parent’s case. The Meeting Facilitator will be responsible for organizing a virtual online forum to discuss family strengths, concerns of ODHS staff, plan for increased involvement of service providers, identify natural and community supports, map progress toward closure of the case, and provide written objectives for follow up. In some cases, meetings will take place on site in Multnomah County.
This position requires the ability to work with diverse populations and with parties who may not share common interests, to achieve positive outcomes. A person with strong communication skills and a complex understanding of communication styles and requirements, and successful experience working with Child Welfare-involved families is required, along with understanding and implementation of trauma-informed facilitation and interventions.
The ability to communicate in both English and Spanish, in both conversation as well as written language, is essential to the success of this role.
This position will require driver’s record and state background check reporting after hire.

Position Requirements:

  • A typical work day will include case staffing to prepare for meetings, the facilitation of meetings, note taking using an AI assistant, and distribution of notes.
  • Clinical supervision, consultation, on-going professional training, service planning,

and other administrative tasks are included in this position.

  • Your work days are Monday-Friday 8:00 – 5:00 and may include occasional evening meetings. Your schedule includes a one-hour lunch break. You will be working primarily from home and must have a home office providing privacy and internet access.
  • Required meeting attendance includes all trainings for the role, shadowing for the role, all- staff mandatory staff trainings; 10-15 hours yearly additional hours of training toward professional growth. Attend agency team meetings and individual supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS MAY BE MET IN SEVERAL WAYS:

  • 3+ years direct experience facilitating professional meetings or similar support or Child Welfare experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in social services and at least one years’ experience in social service-related field or Child Welfare
  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy or related field
