An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Casual Meetings and Events Coordinator to join the Union Jack Club in London Waterloo. You will work ‘as and when required’ in line with business demands therefore is on a casual zero hours basis with no set or guaranteed hours. The Union Jack Club is a charity that provides accommodation and facilities to serving and former members of the HM Armed Forces and their families, offering a welcoming and comfortable base during their visits to the capital.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Meetings and Event Sales Coordination Manager, you will assist all aspects of planning and coordinating events across the Club’s conference and meeting facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and professional experience from the initial enquiry through to final event delivery, working closely with internal teams to maintain high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain practical experience in the events and hospitality industry, particularly those who have a keen interest in Events, Leisure, or Tourism. It is equally well-suited to candidates with proven experience in coordinating events within a busy meetings and conference environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinating all aspects of event coordination, from enquiry through to final handover to the Operations team.
  • Maintain a well-organised events schedule and ensure effective communication with internal departments.
  • Ensure all event requirements are captured accurately and delivered to the highest standard.
  • Provide exceptional service to members and guests, maintaining the high standards expected by the Union Jack Club.
