What's the role? Sky News Australia are seeking an experienced reporter to lead coverage of major news events in Melbourne and Victoria.You must have a passion news and breaking stories. You seek to inform the audience and offer insight to viewers on the biggest issues impacting Melbourne and wider Victoria region. Key Responsibilities: Report on news stories live on location, including responding to breaking news events outside of rostered hours, when required. Film news content and press conferences as a video journalist Write news packages and scripts Pitch and generate original news stories and ideas Break news stories Take editorial direction from the Melbourne Bureau Chief and Newsgathering Editor Complete and comply with all News Corp and ANC policies, including ANC’s Social Media Policy, News Corp Global Standards etc Who are you? At least 5 years of reporting experience Experience in live and breaking news Excellent time management skills, the ability to multitask and work to strict deadlines. Strong communication skills. High attention to detail and strong technical understanding Open to feedback.
