Kutztown Foundry and Machine is hiring for a Foundry Supervisor. In this position you will manage the day to day activities of the Foundry and Melt Shop, including inventory and equipment.  You will lead a team to ensure the group is always working effectively and efficiently. Some of your key responsibilities will include: * Assisting and supporting the foundry manager in accomplishing department goals and plans * Leading your team, to include coaching, mentoring, and realigning workloads * Enforcing all company rules and regulations, initiating necessary discipline, and ensuring all work areas and equipment are clean and orderly * Developing performance expectations of the department employees * Driving quality improvement activities  * Creating individual work assignments to accomplish tasks set forth by department manager   Location: Kutztown, PA Shift: 11pm-7am Required Qualifications: * Minimum 3 years in a related manufacturing environment   Preferred Qualifications: * Proven leadership skills and experience managing a production team * Understand and have a working knowledge of all jobs in the foundry as required to meet the department goals and plans * Ability to understand and utilize computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint * Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot * Strong communication skills   Education: * High School Diploma or GED is required * Associates Degree or applicable related work experience   Working Conditions: * Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds. * This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays * Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant   Safety Activities: * Be aware of and observe all safety practices.
