Description Iowa Cremation is seeking a part-time Appointment Setter (15–20 hours per week). This role serves as a key point of contact for prospective members, helping to introduce them to our services and ensuring a positive and informative first experience with Iowa Cremation. To succeed in this role, applicants should demonstrate determination, patience, and a positive outlook—staying motivated and goal-focused while engaging with a wide range of prospective members. Ultimately, the appointment setter demonstrates a strong understanding of the sales process and effectively facilitates introductions between prospective clients and our Sales Counselors. Duties/Responsibilities Through training, develop a comprehensive knowledge of Iowa Cremation’s offerings. Place outbound calls to prospective Iowa Cremation members to share information about our services and inspire interest in scheduling an appointment. Utilize established call guides to ensure clear, consistent messaging during all client interactions. Ensure that all phone conversations with potential members are professional and add value. Work toward achieving a weekly appointment-setting goal that is established collaboratively. Accurately document all client interactions, including appointment requests and confirmations, ensuring each appointment is recorded with precise details. Ensure that scheduled appointments create meaningful opportunities for Sales Counselors to effectively present the value of Iowa Cremation. Keep a positive and open line of communication with the Iowa Cremation Office Manager. On occasion, assist with answering inbound phone calls. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing. Ability to work independently. Education and Experience: High School degree or equivalent required. Two to five years of experience in an administrative role is preferred. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
