Description Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Member Experience and Program Impact Director is responsible for the overall management of the Membership Department and providing quality leadership and guidance to YMCA Program staff and members. The Member Experience Director and Program Impact Director will evaluate and implement quality programs that meet the needs of the community. Essential Functions: Determine and oversee program procedures and workflow that ensure the upmost service is provided to members and volunteers. Implement and supervise all programs and collaborations ensuring the highest quality and adherence to YMCA goals and standards are met for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Implements department and program strategies that support recruitment of new participants and retention of existing members and program participants. Creates a member-focused culture and models relationship-building skills in all interactions. Fosters a climate of innovation and resolves problems to ensure member satisfaction. Establishes new program activities and expands programs within the community in accordance with the strategic and operating plans. Supervise, coach and assess the effectiveness of direct reports through the development of annual goals and objectives. Develop, monitor and achieve the program budgets. Accept responsibility for the control of expenditure and the production of income in line with the approved branch budget. Creates a member-focused culture and models relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions. Implements membership strategies that support retention of existing members, fosters a climate of innovation and resolves problems to ensure member satisfaction. Work closely with the North County Wellness Director to developing income sources and support innovation in group exercise Oversees Membership and directs the Welcome Center Coordinator in supervision of Membership Staff and to ensure customer service standards Oversees and maintains Youth and Teen Programming including creation, implementation, enrollment, marketing and management of all programs. Including, but not limited to Spartacus, Achievers, basketball and other youth sports. Provide leadership and direction in the development of short and long-range plans. Gather, interpret and prepare data for studies, reports and recommendations. Coordinate department activities with other departments and agencies. Develop new programs to meet the needs of the Montachusett Branch membership and the community. Ensure accuracy in all Membership and program-related billing. Develop comprehensive marketing and membership plan for the branch Ensure clear, concise and consistent information is communicated to members, volunteers and staff. Be part of at least one community group- Rotary, Chamber etc. Co-Chair the branch’s Annual Campaign and assist leadership in the successful completion of the campaign and other related special events and activities. Leads assigned aspects of the fund-raising campaign Participate as requested in Association Service Center and branch committees, cabinets, task forces including the North County Board of Governors. Assist in any and all branch programs and activities at the request of the branch leadership. As a Branch Leader the position requires 24/7 availability to direct reports and branch director. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and/or at least 3 years of experience overseeing program departments preferred. YMCA Multi -Team or Branch Leader Certification preferred. Must be knowledgeable and have experience in YMCA standards and program guidelines. A strong background in staff supervision and team building are required. The incumbent must understand the relationships of the general public to the Association, of staff to volunteer, and of staff to staff relations. Must be able to delegate and to supervise, direct and guide operations and programs of the branch for the accomplishment of the Associations long and short-range goals. Must possess oral, auditory and written communication skills appropriate for interacting with both children and adults Positive role model with strong leadership, conflict resolution and diplomacy skills. Must be capable of directing the daily administrative, program related, and supervisory responsibilities of Membership, Wellness, and Youth Programs.
