Description Join our team as a Member Service Representative/ Loan Officer! About the role: Maine Savings Federal Credit Union is looking for an MSR/Loan Officer for our Hampden location, and your mission is to foster cooperation with members and build their trust by relaying your knowledge of how our products can have a positive impact in their financial lives. If you have a knowledge base in retail banking, processing loan approvals and denials, opening/closing accounts, and have a passion for helping others, this could be a great fit! What You'll Do: Provides friendly, prompt, professional and accurate service to members and coworkers. Help our members understand our products- ranging from unsecured personal, secure vehicle loans, VISA and debt consolidation loans as well as cross sell opportunities and make recommendations. Communicates with and interviews members for consumer loan applications while ensuring that we are compliant with credit union policies, exclusive of equities. Deliver loan decision to member within minutes of their application. Confirms that all loan collateral is properly insured, demonstrates an understanding and compliance of regulatory and cybersecurity trainings as they relate to workflow. Periodically assists the Teller line, processing members’ financial transactions and balances cash drawer. Demonstrates competency in Digital Banking. Requirements 3-5 years of similar or related experience preferred. Prior experience in working with others inside and outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Working knowledge skills both written and verbal. Ability to work out of other branches as needed.
