Description Position Summary: The Member Service Representative (MSR) plays a crucial role in ensuring our members receive exceptional service and support at Illinois State Credit Union. The primary responsibilities of this role include assisting members with various credit union transactions, addressing account-related inquiries, and promoting ISCU products and services that meet members' needs. Key Responsibilities: Member Assistance: Provide courteous, professional, and efficient service to all members, ensuring their needs are met promptly and accurately. Transaction Processing: Handle all basic credit union transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments, while ensuring adherence to ISCU policies and procedures. Account Inquiries: Respond to member questions regarding account balances, transaction history, and other basic account information. Product and Service Promotion: Proactively offer ISCU products and services that may benefit the members, ensuring they are informed of all available options. Online Banking Support: Assist members with the setup and navigation of online banking, including bill pay and remote deposit capture services. Troubleshoot and resolve any related issues. Document Management: Scan, attach, and manage documents following ISCU procedures to ensure accurate and secure record-keeping. Policy Adherence: Follow all credit union policies, procedures, and the Member Bill of Rights to maintain high standards of service and compliance. Requirements Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred. Previous customer service experience is helpful but not required. We welcome candidates from hospitality, retail, or other service-focused roles who enjoy helping people and building relationships. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in helping others. A positive attitude, curiosity about people, and the ability to listen and understand member needs. Comfort learning new systems and technology, including online banking platforms and document management software. Ability to stay organized and work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. A mindset focused on teamwork, service, and helping members improve their financial lives.
