MEMBER SERVICE, SALES, & MARKETING ANALYST:

Tiburon is seeking to hire its third member service, sales, & marketing analyst. This is an opportunity to directly lead the firm’s revenue expansion, either in a service & sales or marketing capacity. The goal of the member service, sales, & marketing analyst at Tiburon is to take over existing service, sales, & marketing efforts and launch additional efforts to drive more memberships and other revenues. The absorption of service activities by the member service, sales, & marketing analyst will allow other Tiburon executives to redeploy their own time on research and begin to introduce members’ needs to the member service, sales, & marketing analyst. The absorption of sales activities by the member service, sales, & marketing analyst will serve the same purpose and also advance the service, sales, & marketing analyst’s knowledge of Tiburon prospects’ & members’ needs. And finally, the launch of marketing activities by the member service, sales, & marketing analyst should drive a substantial number of new members and revenues based on well-received existing Tiburon services (e.g., building broader awareness is the key). The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and responsive team player who can support current service, sales, & marketing activities, including the Tiburon website, Tiburon Research Releases, Tiburon media relations, and Tiburon social media efforts. To most easily onboard and allow the member service, sales, & marketing analyst to benefit from self-learning (critical for the small team), Tiburon will start by engaging the member service, sales, & marketing analyst in a series of activities involving the Tiburon Salesforce contacts database. Tiburon would expect to maintain a twelve-month horizon for full deployment in the role and check in monthly (maybe quarterly later) to ensure progress towards the desired role.

Responsibilities:

  • Service & Sales
  • Manage quantity & quality of contacts in Salesforce database (~520,000 contacts)
  • Manage Tiburon prospect & member service & sales activities (e.g. Tiburon Written Research & Tiburon Webinar passwords; Tiburon CEO Summit confirmations; Tiburon member questions; Tiburon invoices)
  • Marketing
  • Manage weekly Tiburon Research Releases (Tiburon estimates that this takes 90 minutes to export & reimport from Mailchimp and 45 minutes to format release)
  • Launch media relations strategy (second marketing step)
  • Launch social media strategy (e.g., LinkedIn; Twitter; YouTube; Facebook; Instagram; TikTok; Reddit; Etc.) by promoting existing Tiburon Written Research
  • Help redesign website
  • Consider other forms of marketing (e.g., SEO; Google Ad Words; digital advertising; etc)
  • Consider redesigning core offerings (Tiburon Written Research; Tiburon Webinars; Tiburon CEO Summits), launching new service (Tiburon Podcasts), and considering new distribution channels (e.g., institutional research)

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint (experience with Salesforce would be a plus but not required)Experience in professional services firm (e.g., management consulting firm, private equity firm, law firm) would be a plus

Compensation:

  • Paid $28-$40 per hour (based on experience)
