JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Member Services Associate shall serve as a front-desk liaison to serve members of the Richmond Association of REALTORS®, Central Virginia Regional MLS users, and the general public.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain pleasant and professional manners.
  • Computer proficiency with Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of, or prior experience with, association management systems is a plus.
  • High comfort level with desktop and mobile technology.
  • Strong interest in learning new technologies, including enhancements and updates.
  • Must maintain a consistently high volume of production under sometimes tight deadlines.
  • Comprehend and exchange detailed information, including conveying it to others accurately and/or efficiently.
  • Must not be afraid to ask questions.
  • Must be energized by virtual platform-based organization, and structure surrounding priorities and time management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associate’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

The Member Services Specialist is a dynamic role, working to assist in the daily operations of RAR and CVR MLS. Primary duties include:

  • Greet members and visitors in person, by telephone and email. Respond to general inquiries regarding Association membership, dues and fees, educational courses, retail operations, and other Association and MLS services.
  • Assist with membership applications and transfers, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Gain fluency in membership policies, regulations, and services provided.
  • Serve as lockbox specialist including issuance of lockboxes, user technology support of hardware and software, maintenance of lockbox inventory, troubleshooting technical issues, investigating and providing solutions for user challenges.
  • Maintain member records and proper data entry.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of the Association’s general and staff-specific functions and responsibilities to direct detailed inquiries appropriately.
  • Collaborate with team members to continuously improve service to the membership and enhance overall satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
