The Conservative Campaign Headquarters is looking for dedicated individuals to join our newly formed Member Services Team. This role is central to delivering outstanding support and service to our members and Associations, ensuring they have everything they need to run effective and impactful campaigns.
As a Member Services Officer, you will provide exceptional customer service, assisting with queries and helping maintain high levels of Party membership. Your support will be vital in strengthening engagement and ensuring the smooth operation of our campaigning efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and influential team, contributing to the success of the Party’s grassroots network. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior customer service experience preferred – telephone, email or face to face
  • Prior political experience not essential however a sound knowledge of current affairs and political awareness is essential

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with the ability to tailor message and style appropriately
  • Creative and inquisitive, with a strong ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to problems and opportunities in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident user of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to organise and prioritise a demanding workload personally
  • A personal commitment to the values of the Conservative Party

Responsibilities
  • Provide first class communication to members
  • Manage member enquiries and general correspondence through a new single helpdesk function. Where queries are more technical or specialised the Member Services team will triage enquiries to other CCHQ Services teams or the most relevant member of CCHQ staff to support with a timely response.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to local Conservative associations on membership queries and member acquisition
  • Provide first line support for technical VoteSource enquiries
  • Work closely with the new Conservative Movement directorate on new projects and initiatives to grow party membership and improve member retention
  • Ensure that every member of the team has a good basic understanding of all matters of compliance and our internal policies and processes to support short term secondments to Members Governance and the CCHQ Services compliance functions (i.e. Data Protection, Finance, Financial Compliance and Election Law) during busy periods.
