SUMMARY: Successful Member Service Specialists serve in a universal specialist role, and provide an exceptional member experience by handling every client need from sales to service. The incumbent will possess a deep knowledge of teller, ATM, online, and mobile banking services; the ability to open new accounts, certificates, and IRAs, while maintaining expert knowledge on all credit union products to effectively present solutions to our members. Qualified candidates will be reliable, adaptable, sales and service oriented individuals who are adept at teamwork and able to use good judgment to satisfy members’ financial needs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Ensure Members are promptly and professionally served Actively educate and refer Members to resources available within the Credit Union Refer products and services to our Members Provide members with a one-stop experience in processing transactions and fulfilling their sales and service needs Retain and deepen existing member relationships, and establish new relationships using a needs-based approach Perform teller transactions at a high level, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan requests, among others Assist with opening and closing duties for the branch Promote, explain, and cross-sell credit union products and services, including checking accounts, debit & credit cards, electronic services, consumer loans and business accounts and services Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: 3 years of experience working in a similar or related setting in a Financial Institution Exceptional communication skills Approachable and friendly Thrive in a fast-paced environment Ability to perform basic math skills Cash handling experience is preferred High school diploma is required BENEFITS: We offer an attractive suite of benefits to full-time employees including: Health, Dental, Vision, a company Retirement Plan Contribution of up to 7% after the first year of employment.
