Description Member Solutions CounselorSouthfield, MI (Hybrid if local/Remote if Not) Do you enjoy helping people who have fallen on hard times? In the Member Solutions Counselor role, You'll be responsible for: Keeping open lines of communication with delinquent members for early intervention counseling. Working closely with investor credit unions and maintaining positive working relationships with their collection staff. Using your problem-solving abilities to tackle any issues head-on, keeping all parties informed as necessary as you work toward resolutions. Making daily outbound calls to review members' financial status and develop workable repayment arrangements. You'll have the opportunity to: Be creative in your approach to developing appropriate resolutions that meet the requirements of all parties involved. Communicate effectively to convey options to members. Confidently make quick decisions. Use sympathy to deescalate situations swiftly. Display your grit and perseverance during challenging situations. You'll have: A minimum of 1 year of collections or customer service experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills, aiding your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and deadline-driven environment. Working knowledge of FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae and loss mitigation guidelines. Who We Are We are Mortgage Center and a CUSO – Credit Union Service Organization.
