We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Membership and Communications Coordinator on a part-time basis.
Position Overview: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to manage our membership activities and enhance our communication efforts. The Membership and Communications Coordinator will play a crucial role in maintaining strong relationships with our members and ensuring that our communication channels effectively promote our organization’s activities and events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in communications, marketing, business, or related fields is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using email marketing platforms and social media management tools a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with tools like Canva or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Prior experience in membership management, communications, or related roles is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Membership Management:
  • Process new member applications.
  • Maintain an updated membership database and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Respond promptly to member inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop strategies for increasing membership and member engagement.
  • Assist in organizing membership events and networking opportunities.
  • Communication:
  • Create and send out weekly emails to members, including event invitations, updates, and relevant news.
  • Develop content for our social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
  • Monitor and respond to comments and messages on social media in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with the team to develop communication campaigns that align with the chamber’s goals.
  • Collaborate with various committees to gather information and insights for communication materials.
  • Content Creation:
  • Write compelling and concise content for newsletters, social media posts, and website updates.
  • Create visually appealing graphics, images, and videos to accompany communications.
  • Ensure all content is consistent with the chamber’s messaging.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
  • Track engagement metrics for emails and social media posts and provide regular reports.
