POSITION OVERVIEW

The Membership Coordinator serves as a key ambassador for AIM Center, connecting with both prospective and current members to support their journey toward recovery. This role oversees the full membership intake process, including referrals, interviews, and orientation, while ensuring all member records are accurate and securely maintained. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and a strong communicator who thrives in a mission-driven environment and is committed to building a supportive, inclusive community.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field OR five (5) years of experience in psychiatric rehabilitation or mental health services.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Reliable personal transportation.
  • Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
  • F endorsement (for TN applicants) or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As our Membership Coordinator, you’ll be the welcoming face of our organization—building strong relationships, supporting individuals in their recovery journey, and ensuring each member feels valued and included. Your role will include:

  • Engaging with prospective and current members through warm, empathetic conversations.
  • Using active listening to truly understand member needs and goals.
  • Applying motivational interviewing techniques to encourage growth and self-determination.
  • Coordinating member activities and participation in the work-ordered day.
  • Collaborating across staff and member teams to support employment, housing, and wellness goals.
  • Managing time effectively to balance daily responsibilities, outreach, and documentation.
  • Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Clubhouse membership inquiries.
  • Conduct tours and presentations for potential members, families, and referral sources.
  • Facilitate the member application process, including face-to-face interviews and eligibility screenings.
  • Maintain accurate member data in our electronic records system.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality protocols and relevant licensure standards.
  • Assist with outreach efforts to build relationships with referral sources and promote AIM Center services.
  • Lead orientation sessions for new and returning members.
  • Support member communication and engagement through marketing efforts and events.
  • Carry a limited caseload of members in orientation status.
  • Collaborate with staff and members in a recovery-focused environment.
  • Participate in scheduled holiday and social event coverage and support employment, including transitional employment.
