Job Summary:
The Membership Engagement & Data Administrator is a team player who supports AIA New York member services by building relationships, promoting engagement, and facilitating connections and supports both AIANY and Center for Architecture staff by addressing needs that arise in day-to-day use of data infrastructure. Major portfolio items include working with others to execute initiatives, being an accessible point of contact for membership journey for its 5,000+ members, delivering programming to enhance members’ professional skills, providing administrative support for key committees and managing our Salesforce instance and related software.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Membership

  • Support the AIA New York Membership Program, including the delivery of member benefits, support of advocacy events, and engaging members in the programs of the Chapter.
  • Manage member engagement projects or special conferences/events such as Civic Leadership Program, TORCH Mentorship, Cross Learning Alliance, Open Door Mentor, and Procrastinators’ Days.
  • Provide support to chapter advocacy initiatives and on occasion to initiatives of the Chapter’s 27 program committees.
  • Administer Oculus Subscriptions and smaller awards programs as required.
  • Support colleagues’ work with Honors and Nominating Committees.
  • Support Managing Director in member special projects.

Data Systems and Salesforce User Support

  • Coordinate with the Director of Digital Assets to leverage Salesforce information in Marketing Cloud, Form Assembly, and website environments.
  • Support AIANY and Center for Architecture staff in their use of the organization’s shared instance of Salesforce.
  • Identify projects and coordinate with SF consultant to implement strategies which improve efficiency and workflows.
  • Coordinate with different departments – Development, Education - to identify unique needs.
  • Troubleshoot minor issues where needed and advise management on project planning and resources needed for larger fixes.

Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree;
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in a membership organization environment or similar relevant experience;
  • 1-2 years of Salesforce user experience and some experience with workflows, reports, and data management;
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products, in particular Microsoft Excel;
  • Proven track record of providing high quality customer service and/or member support;
  • Excellent people skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Willingness and ability to develop project plans and see work through to completion

Hours: Hybrid (2 days on-site), 20-25 hours per week; some evenings, mornings, or weekends may be required.
Rate: $30 - $33 per hour
Physical Demands: Some lifting (up to 30 lbs.). Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
