Description Activity Assistant - Memory Care Unit Grand Villa of Englewood's Memory Care Unit is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our seasoned seniors by providing engaging and supportive activities in a warm, caring environment. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging activities tailored to the needs and interests of residents in the Memory Care Unit - Support residents in participating in activities, ensuring their safety and well-being - Collaborate with staff and family members to develop individualized activity plans - Maintain a positive and respectful environment that promotes socialization and mental stimulation - Document resident participation and progress in activities - Assist with setting up and cleaning activity areas Skills and Qualifications: - Previous experience working with seniors, preferably in a memory care or assisted living setting - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Creativity and enthusiasm in planning activities - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs - Flexibility to work Sundays and Thursdays from 4pm to 8pm - High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in activity planning or senior care are a plus Join our dedicated team at Grand Villa of Englewood, where we value compassion, community, and continuous growth.
